Mu Ko Ang Thong Marine National Park: fishing is banned. We only stop there to anchor and snorkel.

Fishing is allowed only from local longtail boats.
Rules that protect you
- Fishing is banned in marine national parks: the Similans, Surin, Phi Phi, Ang Thong, Mu Ko Lanta. Fines reach 500,000 THB.
- We only go out with a licensed operator: the boat holds a Marine Department permit and a Thai guide is on board.
- On freshwater we fish in fishing parks and with local guides. Big fish are released.
- Andaman: November–April. In the monsoon (May–October) we fish the Gulf of Thailand and freshwater.
